Hey, Reader!
I know it seems early, but Easter is this weekend! Since the date changes year-to-year, I find it's easy to lose track of the celebration.
Even if it sneaks up on me, one thing I won't let fall to the wayside is the drinks. As a spring celebration filled with flavor and color, there are a bevy of pretty, pastel-colored drinks you can make for brunch and beyond.
Here are a few of my favorites that every-bunny π° will enjoy:
β
β
carrot cake shots
If you've spent the morning hiding β or hunting β eggs, you deserve to treat yourself to one of these carrot cake shots. These mini dessert cocktails perfectly capture all the flavor of the iconic dessert and only require four ingredients!
chocolate bunny cocktails
You can bet your tail that these drinks will be the talk of the holiday, and they're SO easy! All you need is a sharp knife and a straw. (You could also bite off the ears if you prefer, but maybe stick to just your own. π€£) Fill them with chocolate milk for the kids and something fun for the adults, like homemade Irish cream or a toasted almond cocktail. (Pro tip: Make sure you buy hollow chocolate bunnies.)
peeps vodka
Love 'em or leave 'em, Peeps are an Easter institution. If you find yourself with extras on-hand, let a few infuse with vodka overnight. In the morning, you'll have a sweet, marshmallow-flavored vodka with a pastel hue ready to mix into your drinks (try it in a s'mores cocktail to really amp up the marshmallow taste).
raspberry mint kir royale
The raspberry mint kir royale wows in presentation and taste. With all the flavors of spring, this sweet sparkler is perfect for Easter brunch or sipping alongside Easter dinner.
classic grasshopper
A gorgeous shade of green, the classic grasshopper will be right at home alongside bright Easter decor! You can opt for a frozen version instead if you prefer it to be more like ice cream. (Bonus: The frozen kind makes a big batch.)
guava mimosas
Skip the OJ and opt for guava instead for breakfast and brunch celebrations. Classic mimosas are great (or even a mimosa bar), but Easter calls for something a little sweeter! Keep this recipe around all season β they are a fun option for any spring brunch.
Here's a whole list of Easter cocktails if you need more ideas. Let me know which one(s) you end up trying!
Happy Easter!
