Hey, Reader!

Did you know that April is National Brunch Month? It's news to me, although there is something about the spring weather that makes me ready to enjoy a slow morning in the comfort of home surrounded by friends or family.

Brunch cocktails have a tendency to steal the show, but for any morning affair there's one thing that can't be ignored: coffee. Since everyone has their own recipe for a perfect cup, it's not really something you can make in a big batch to save time.

Don't worry about getting stuck playing barista — I have a hack for keeping things simple.

A coffee bar is an easy way to ensure everyone enjoys their cup of Joe. From essentials like mugs to extra additions like flavored syrups, this station not only lets guests make their drink exactly how they like but also offers an ice-breaker and chance to mingle. Here's a snapshot of what I like to include:

  • Coffee (of course), estimating 8-ounces per guest
  • Simple syrup, either store-bought or homemade
  • Creamers like milk and dairy-free alternatives to accomadate any dietary restrictions
  • Toppings like whipped cream, cinnamon or chocolate shavings
  • Tea bags for those who prefer something other than coffee

I think you'll find that a coffee bar is the perfect way to energize your next brunch!

Enjoy!
