Hey, Reader!
As spring settles in and the weather warms up, it feels like brunch season has unofficially arrived. I always look forward to having a few brunches with friends and family, and that means stepping up my brunch cocktail game.
I love a good restaurant brunch as much as the next person, but there's just something about a slow morning in the comfort of home. Plus, when you're the one making the drinks, it's easy to omit the booze so everyone can enjoy.
Here are some easy mocktails ready to shine in case you're making some brunch-at-home plans soon.
virgin bloody mary
Not everyone loves a savory cocktail like a Bloody Mary, but those of us who do, LOVE THEM. The key for a brunch party is Bloody Mary mix so your guests can mix up their favorite combination. Set them up for success by putting out a Bloody Mary bar with all the fixings, including non-alcoholic spirits.
virgin mimosa
Swap out the champagne for something that still brings the bubbles, like sparkling cider, club soda or ginger beer, then go classic with OJ or switch up the juice with colorful options like pineapple, guava or cranberry juice.
strawberry mocktail
Sweet strawberries lend their color and flavor to this stunning booze-free drink. Better yet, the ingredient list is short and simple and the whole drink takes just minutes to make.
tiramisu latte
Have dessert for breakfast when you serve this decadent latte. It's made with a homemade coffee syrup that give it the deep flavors of chocolate and dark rum and is topped with a creamy mascarpone whipped cream, a dusting of cocoa powder and a ladyfinger cookie. Yum!
hydration station
Skip the plain water and serve up stunning and refreshing agua fresca instead. This easy-to-make Mexican drink is so tasty, with plenty of flavors to choose from like strawberry, cucumber or pineapple.
If you're looking to wow your brunch companions, a cocktail garnish board is the answer. It gives your guests the fixings to customize their drinks with a little added flair.
Happy brunching!
