drinks ✨two✨ good not to share

easy, elegant entertaining

Hey, Reader!

Every mixologist, whether new or expert, has those days when they need a cocktail that's easy to make, with ingredients you always have on hand. Plus, less dishes!

Enter two-ingredient drinks. Many of these are popular sippers I'm sure you've heard of, and for good reason! They're easy to make, easy to order and consistent in their flavors.

Here are some of my favorites:

gin & tonic

The gin & tonic, or G&T, is an icon. This classic cocktail is one of the world’s favorite cocktails to order at bars, sip on planes and make at home. The key to a great G&T is getting the proportions just right and using quality ingredients — that's where I can help!

greyhound

The greyhound is a refreshing drink that packs a sweet-and-sour punch! Fresh citrus juice and your choice of vodka or gin come together in this flavorful anytime sipper.

jack & coke

When the ingredients are literally in the name of a drink, you may wonder why you need a recipe at all. Proportions matter a lot, as do the ingredients you use. I like to master the classic and customize from there!

whiskey ginger

The spice in a whiskey ginger is the best way to warm up on a wintry night or cool down in the summer. Take it to the next level by using homemade ginger ale and control just how sweet or spicy your cocktail ends up — but then it's not two ingredients, so store-bought is totally worth it for the ease.

screwdriver

Refreshing and versatile, the screwdriver is another classic worth knowing. Once you learn this recipe, it's easy to build onto it to create other drinks like the fuzzy navel.

If you like the simplicity of these recipes, don't stop here! I've got even more two-ingredient drinks for you to try, or level up with these three-ingredient drinks.

Cheers!

Susannah

I don't think it's any surprise that Moscow mules are a fan favorite. They are one of my top requested recipes and everyone goes crazy for the many variations. Plus, mules have no season. They're refreshing in the summer, spicy enough to warm you in the winter and absolutely delicious every day of the year. There's even...

easy, elegant entertaining Hey, Reader! When it comes to wine, there are a lot of choices. White, red, rosé, sparkling... it can be a lot. Plus, where cocktails can go with almost anything, some wines pair better with foods than others. Luckily, you don't have to choose between these types of booze. When you blend these two worlds — literally — by making wine cocktails, it's a win-win. Thanks to their fruit base, wines provide a range of fruity flavors that make for some very tasty drinks....

easy, elegant entertaining Hey, Reader! I'm of the opinion that there are a few drinks every at-home bartender should have under their belt, and the classic mojito is one of them. It's easy to mix up and always a crowd pleaser. Rum, lime juice and fresh mint are a compelling combination that's delicious and refreshing; you can even opt for a virgin version so everyone can enjoy the flavors without the booze. The mojito also plays well with others — flavors that is! Fruit is an easy add-in...
