It's been a while since I've shown my face around here, so I thought it’d be a good time to re-introduce myself. 👋

I’m Susannah, a cocktail (and mocktail!) blogger and graphic designer from Charlotte, North Carolina — and I’m so glad you’re here.

Here’s a little peek behind the shaker:

1. I’ve been writing Feast + West since 2014, sharing approachable cocktail, mocktail and coffee recipes that make everyday moments a little more special. 🍹
2. My ideal cozy night in during the holidays? Hot apple cider with a splash of bourbon. Bonus points if there’s a rom-com, soft blanket and cat cuddles involved. 🍎
3. My signature drink is a mule or an old-fashioned. I always have the ingredients on hand, even for a quick mocktail version. 🥃
4. When I’m not mixing drinks, you’ll find me decorating our mid-century home, exploring a new restaurant or getting lost in a video game. 🎨
5. Proof I'm human: I once left a pie in the oven, and then left the house... on Christmas Eve. (Don’t worry — I’ve learned my lesson, and the house did not burn down.) 🥧
6. I find inspiration for drinks from traveling. Different cultures do such unexpected, brilliant things with flavor. I have visited 22 countries and 42 states! ✈️
7. I'm a Pisces and Enneagram 3, which means I’m equal parts dreamer and doer. And yes, I love a good color-coded spreadsheet. 🌈
8. My favorite holiday tradition is my Christmas craft day with friends — we make ornaments, sip something festive and talk for hours. 🎁
9. My approach to hosting? Make people feel welcome and don’t stress about the mess. (Still working on that second part!) 🍸
10. And my philosophy: The best drinks don’t have to be complicated… just balanced, beautiful and shared with people you enjoy. 💫
