Hey, Reader!
While I don't have a favorite season (they're all great for different reasons!), fall holds a special place in my heart.
Maybe it's the way a chilly day is the perfect companion to a cozy drink fireside with a good Netflix marathon. Maybe it's the fact that I can break out the warm drinks and sweaters. Or maybe it's the fact that I can walk the dog without becoming a pile of sweat.
The great news is, I don't have to choose why I love fall, and that holds true to favorite fall flavors too. Whether you prefer pumpkin, apple or something else, there are plenty of great drinks to enjoy this season. Here are a few of my faves:
ginger pumpkin shandy
Made with your favorite pumpkin brew and ginger beer, the ginger pumpkin shandy is perfect for game day, happy hour — you name it! Since it's a good balance of sweet and spicy, it's refreshing enough for warm fall days with enough cozy flavors for the chilly ones.
fireball jello shots
Apple and cinnamon are a match made in fall heaven — put them into a jello shot format and you're ready for fun! The addition of a cinnamon sugar rim makes them taste like a slice of apple pie in shot form.
pumpkin white russian
Whether you're already a pumpkin spice fan or you need some convincing, the pumpkin white russian is a sipper that's sure to hit the spot. Pumpkin spice syrup, coffee liqueur, vodka and heavy cream come together in this delightful dessert drink.
chai old-fashioned
Cozy is the best way to describe the ways the spices in this cocktail mesh with whiskey. Although it's on ice, the flavors are sure to ward off the chill of a fall evening!
madras drink
Cranberry is an underrated fall flavor, IMO. Pair it with orange juice and vodka and you're left with a madras drink: simple, sweet and a definite crowd-pleaser!
Which one of these is going to be your new favorite for fall?
Cheers!
