Hey, Reader!
Ok, ok I know that it was just Halloween, but trust me when I say that Thanksgiving will be here in what feels like 5 minutes. I'm already getting so excited to celebrate — anyone else?
With so many traditions driving the menu, the food practically plans itself. That means the drinks are where I like to mix it up and be creative!
Here are some of the drinks that will steal a starring role:
apple cider mojito
This may be my new favorite mash-up, with so much flavor packed into one glass! You get cozy sweetness from the cider, plus refreshing citrus and mint that is just so tasty.
thanksgiving spa water
Fill up a pretty pitcher with water that's infused with fall fruits, herbs and spices. It's a lovely way to make hydration more fun and flavorful, and it makes a great centerpiece for the table.
cranberry sauce old-fashioned
Leftovers? Mix your favorite bourbon with some cranberry sauce (or cranberry syrup if your sauce was super popular), burnt rosemary and fall-flavored bitters for a tasty nightcap.
pomegranate mimosa
Bubbly like a traditional mimosa with a festive fall color, pomegranate mimosas are a great way to start the day! Chill the bubbly and stock up on just a few ingredients, and you'll be ready to sip on this tasty recipe.
apple cider sangria
Who says you stop enjoying sangria when summer ends? Apple cider sangria is the cozy crowd-pleaser you didn't know you needed this holiday season! Apple cider, warm spices, white wine and sweet brandy give this pitcher drink warmth and plenty of flavor.
There are so many fun fall recipes that can enhance every gathering, from Friendsgiving to Thanksgiving to Black Friday brunch (which should totally it's own holiday). If you need more inspiration than the favorites above, here are 30 Thanksgiving cocktails to check out!
Cheers!
Susannah
