Hey, Reader!
So much of Thanksgiving is focused on the feast. The turkey, the potatoes, the dessert...
But what happens when the leftovers are packaged and the table has been cleared? Nightcaps.
A nightcap (or after-dinner drink) is a perfect way to end a meal, but it can also act as a sort of boozy hurrah just before bedtime. You decide what you need after a day filled with family and friends. π Either way, we can all agree a nightcap is the perfect way to end a great night!
Here are a few of my favorites that help put a bow on turkey day:
hot toddy
Perhaps one of the most iconic winter warmers, a hot toddy is the ultimate cozy sipper. Warm whiskey, honey and spices combine in an drink that's a nice compliment to a hearty meal.
baileys hot chocolate
Send off Thanksgiving and slide into the Christmas spirit with a Baileys hot chocolate! Irish cream infuses a creaminess into the rich chocolate that's a sweet way to end the day.
white russian
For those who love to sip a cup of joe after dinner, a white russian is the perfect cocktail. Boozy and creamy with plenty of coffee flavor, this classic has stuck around for good reason! If you have guests that need to drive home, or prefer to skip the booze, the virgin version is just as tasty!
manhattan
An elegant affair calls for a classy cocktail and the Manhattan definitely fits the bill! Be warned, this one is a strong sipper that gets its flavor from rye whiskey (or bourbon, if you prefer).
espresso martini
Keep with the trends by serving a tray of espresso martinis at your Thanksgiving feast! These coffee cocktails are easy to make, yet oh so elegant. Skip the booze for a tasty virgin version that all can enjoy!
As a reminder, the Elves' Workshop Summit just kicked off and is full of tips and tricks to help you party like a pro this holiday season. From cooking, decorating, gifting, entertaining and cocktails, of course, learn from expert presenters (for free!) I'll be there sharing festive drinks made to impress your guests. See you there!β
Cheers!
