Hey, Reader!

Like many children of the 1990s, I watched lots of Captain Planet* cartoons, so now the words "reduce, reuse, recycle" are practically seared into my brain.

Now that I'm a grown-up who is a cocktail content creator, I am keenly aware of how much waste I produce in the kitchen. As often as I can, I try to reduce my footprint by making zero-waste drinks and more sustainable choices.

In honor of Earth Day, I'm sharing some of the ways I help reduce waste and support sustainability in my kitchen and home bar, so you can, too.

🌿 Eco-friendly tips + tools to green your bar cart

1️⃣ You don't need a green thumb to grow your own herbs with this amazing fool-proof garden tool!

2️⃣ Store herbs in this neat container to cut back on waste and keep them fresher longer.

3️⃣ Find a composting company in your city to eliminate food waste. (If you're in Charlotte, N.C., check out Crown Town Compost and use my link for a free month!)

4️⃣ This is my favorite way to store leftover juices for future cocktails and punches. Great for soups too.

5️⃣ Ditch the plastic wrap and use these clever covers for citrus halves, open cans and more. I have three sets!

6️⃣ Party smarter with earth-friendly cups next time you have people over.

7️⃣ Don't recycle without this satisfying device β€” less mess, less landfill. (And your ♻️ bin fills up much more slowly!)

8️⃣ Save money and the environment when you make this must-have cocktail ingredient at home.

9️⃣ Put this cheat sheet on your fridge to plan your cocktails and meals around what’s freshest. It helps reduce shipping-related emissions β€” and your drinks will taste better, too.

πŸ”Ÿ Grab a set of these must-haves to cut down on single-use plastic when shopping. They're light, washable and last forever.

I pulled together even more tips and ideas for sustainable sipping at home. πŸ‘‡

Cheers, fellow Planeteers! And in the words of Captain Planet: The power is yours! 🌏
