πŸ”Your Next Summer Sipper Awaits

easy, elegant entertaining

Hey, Reader!

I've got big plans for the long weekend. Very exciting plans. Probably the best plans I've had in a long while.

This weekend, I'm ... hanging at home. And while that may not sound super exciting, after a season of playing nurse to my pup and tending to alternating colds, I couldn't be more ready to say hello to summer.

To really make a weekend at home more than just a weekend at home, you need something special. Enter, summer drinks.

The best summer drinks are easy to make and even easier to enjoy. They come together in just a few minutes and are full of bright, refreshing flavors that reflect the sunny season.

Whether you're hanging at home like me or celebrating with friends and family this weekend, you might want to raise a glass to the sunshine too! Here are a few drinks you can make over the long weekend to celebrate:

corona sunrise

A tasty beer cocktail Γ  la beerita, the Corona sunrise is a fruity and bright drink that takes having a cold one to the next level. Deliciously fruity and flavorful, this drink has just a hint of beer flavor and its ombrΓ© coloring is a great way to impress your guests.

frozen moscow mule

This cousin to the frozen marg is the best idea for a hot summer day. Freeze ginger beer into ice cubes ahead of time, then toss them in a blender with lime juice and vodka. And if you're up for trying something new, check out the best ginger beers rated by spice level.

berry mojito

This red, white and blue mojito is a pretty one if you're looking for something patriotic for the holiday weekend. Made with fresh mint, summer berries and rum, it just tastes like summer. And it's so much cuter with berry ice cubes, which are made with fresh berries frozen in an ice tray.

virgin daiquiri

The daiquiri is more than just a cocktail β€” it’s actually a family of cocktails featuring rum, citrus juice and sugar. This virgin version tastes like frozen limeade, but so much better β€” even without the booze! If you want something more colorful, the virgin strawberry daiquiri is a sweet addition to any celebration.

prosecco popsicles

A summertime treat, these pretty popsicles star your favorite bubbly with a hint of lemon and feature fresh fruits frozen inside (use red and blue berries for a festive touch). Serve them in a glass of champagne for a poptail!

If you need more ideas, don't miss this list of red, white and blue cocktails to celebrate in style.

Here's to a lovely long weekend!

easy, elegant entertaining Hey, Reader! Forget breakfast β€” brunch is the most important meal of the day (at least on the weekends). Why do I love brunch? Let me count the ways.
