Hey, Reader!

There are plenty of dynamic duos when it comes to drinks. Rum and coke, tequila and lime, gin and tonic...

But perhaps the most iconic two-ingredient refreshment for summer is the Arnold Palmer. It's a drink of many names — call it a “Sunjoy” at Chick-Fil-A or an “iced tea lemonade” at Starbucks.

When you make your own at home, you're in control of the final drink. In a pinch, or when you're mixing for a crowd, you can opt for store-bought iced tea and lemonade. I love to make my own homemade lemonade and cold brew iced tea since it's not too difficult and I prefer the taste.

However you choose to make yours, keep in mind that a drink is only as good as its ingredients, and when there are only two, quality matters.

Don't be afraid to shake things up!

  • Add some flavor. Use a different flavor of lemonade or iced tea to change up how your drink tastes.
  • Make it boozy. A splash of vodka transforms the Arnold Palmer into a John Daly.
  • Keep it cool. Tea ice cubes will prevent your drink from getting watered down on the hottest summer days.

I hope you find your favorite combo to stay cool.

Enjoy!
