Hey, Reader!

Not all bubbles are created equal. Both champagne and prosecco are sparkling white wines, and often served interchangeably.

But champagne features grapes (specifically Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier varieties) that are grown in the Champagne region of France.

Prosecco is Italian, baby! Made from Glera grapes grown in the Veneto region of Italy.

The good news is that even though their flavors differ, you can use either in a cocktail. Since National Prosecco Day is coming up (on August 13), give it a chance to shine this month.

negroni sbagliato

The negroni sbagliato is made by swapping prosecco for gin in the classic Negroni recipe, leaving you with a light yet complex cocktail. It's a bit bitter, but the bubbles help balance it out.

prosecco punch

This delicious sparkling fruit punch cocktail is loaded with tart citrus juice. The tantalizing tango of sweet flavor and tart zing makes this cocktail delicious — plus it serves a crowd!

peach bellini

These brunch beauties are fruity, fizzy and have just the right amount of sweetness. They're a fun alternative to the traditional mimosa, starring prosecco for the bubbles.

sparkling sangria

Sparkling sangria is a bright, festive cocktail that combines prosecco with citrus, fresh fruit and floral liqueurs for a refreshing drink perfect for celebrations.

prosecco pops

It doesn't get cooler than these frozen treats! Although the bubbles are on ice, you still get the flavor of prosecco paired with lemonade and fresh fruit.

Once you've grabbed a bottle, chill it then pop that cork! It’s time to get mixing.

Cheers!
