Hey, Reader!
I’m keeping this quick because we’re in that weird in-between space — not quite done with this year, not quite ready for the next one. But I wanted to pop into your inbox with a few things before we turn the page on 2025.
#1 - first things first
Thank you for being here. Truly. I love emailing my people, and the fact that you open, read and sip along with me means more than you know.
Because of you, this week I am celebrating 12 years of Feast + West — and it's better than my wildest dreams.
#2 - new year, new energy
I always get this quiet pull in January to slow down and be more intentional — especially around what I’m drinking. Not in a rigid, all-or-nothing way… just in a “let’s make this feel good” kind of way.
So this year, I’m trying something new:
The Freewild Spirits Club — a short, supportive January experience from me at Feast + West, designed to help you drink differently without pressure, perfection or boredom.
If you join the paid club, you’ll get:
- Weekly drink plans built around one flavor + a handful of drinks you can enjoy all week
- One exclusive recipe each week you won’t find on the blog
- Accountability and encouragement to help you finish the month feeling good — not deprived
This isn’t a strict challenge or a forever commitment — just a little extra structure and support for January. As a thank-you for joining early, you can save $10 if you join before 2025 ends, with code EARLYBIRD.

If that sounds like too much, I'm also running the free version I have in years past, but improved. Think weekly check-ins, drink tips, a weekend mocktail idea and a couple of helpful downloads to support you through the month. Sign up here.
#3 - one last thing
I’d genuinely love to know what you want more of next year — mocktails, lighter cocktails, cozy drinks, batch recipes or something else entirely. This space exists because of you, so if you have thoughts, ideas or questions, hit reply and tell me. I really do read them (and reply!).
Thanks for being here, and cheers to whatever kind of January you’re craving. ✨
Cheers to the new year,
Susannah
P.S. I am SO excited for The Freewild Spirits Club. The paid club is best if you like a plan and something to follow each week. If you prefer to keep things flexible and casual, the free experience will be a great fit.
