Hey, Reader!
Mimosas seem simple, right? Some orange juice, some bubbly and you've got a brunch bevvy ready to enjoy.
Crafting this brunch favorite can be that simple, but they're worth a little extra effort, especially when you want to transform it into a mocktail made for everyone. Here are my top tips on crafting the perfect mimosa sans booze:
1. don't lose the bubbles
Champagne isn't the only thing that can add bubbles to a mimosa. Try non-alcoholic prosecco, ginger ale, lemon-lime soda or club soda to invigorate every sip. Just note that each option will change the flavor of your drink, so play around and decide which you like best.
2. add some extras
βNon-alcoholic orange bitters are an unexpected addition that can add an extra depth of flavor. There are so many different options to choose from, and just a few dashes make a big difference. There's also zero-proof triple sec you can add, or try a splash of lemon syrup for a little sweet-tart flavor.
3. get the ratio right
When it comes to the classic mimosa, the recommended ratio is 1:1. Equal parts bubbles to orange juice is a great ratio to start with, but you can do play with the amount of ingredients and find what fits your preferences.
4. offer options
If you're hosting a big group, a mimosa bar is the best way to ensure everyone has something to enjoy. Provide plenty of options β different juices, bubbly, garnishes β so guests can craft their own drink.
What are you waiting for? The perfect virgin mimosa awaits!
Cheers!β
