Hey, Reader!
Sometimes you need an afternoon pick-me-up that doesn't include caffeine. Sure, a decaf coffee will work, but if you prefer something sweet and seasonal, this one's for you.
The aptly named Pink Drink jumped from a secret menu item to a fan favorite on the menu at Starbucks, and for good reason. With creamy coconut milk and fruity flavor, it's perfect for cooling down on a hot day. The best news is that it's easy to recreate at home, so you can skip the line and enjoy it at home.
DIY your drink
βStrawberry syrup gives this drink its color and plenty of flavor. While you can buy strawberry simple syrup, making it at home is easy to do and is much easier on your wallet. You can even use frozen berries if that's what you have on hand.
mix up the milk
If you prefer something other than coconut milk, you can use almond milk or even whole milk. Use your favorite or do some taste testing to find what tastes best to you.
add a kick
While the original drink has green coffee flavor in the strawberry acai base, this version is caffeine-free. If you need this drink to give you a boost β similar to Starbucks' Pink Energy Drink β add a serving of caffeine powder or infuse the syrup with a caffeinated tea.
Stay cool this summer!
