Hey, Reader!
It's barely September and it seems like there is already an abundance of pumpkin-flavored everything! Perhaps most notable is the pumpkin spice latte, AKA the "PSL," which takes over coffeeshops everywhere come fall.
I met someone last week who won't order her first PSL until the fall equinox on Sept. 22, which is the official start of fall. If you're not quite ready to sink into the season yet either, this sweet alternative was a huge hit in years past.
While it's not on the Starbucks fall menu again this year, the Apple Crisp Macchiato still has a big fan base β and for good reason!
You can make it either hot or iced, depending on the day, and it gets its sweet and spicy notes from a homemade apple syrup (which also works well in cocktails, just saying π).
The best part about making any coffee shop favorite at home is getting to customize it exactly to your tastes, so use your favorite roast, milk and ratios to craft the perfect cup!
I hope this fruity delight becomes one of your favorites.
Enjoy!
