Hey, Reader!
Before I start I want to make it clear that I am firmly in the camp of August being too early for Halloween (and definitely Christmas) decorations being out in stores.
That being said, it's hot out there. Like, really hot. As much as I love summer, the end of August has me dreaming of crisp fall mornings. I'm making it through by enjoying the maximum refreshment that is frozen drinks. Boozy or not, these treats are made for hot summer days thanks to thirst-quenching flavors and plenty of ice.
Since summer weather is here to stay for at least few more weeks, here are some frozen favorites to help you stay cool:
frosé
Frosé (or frozen rosé) is the pretty pink cocktail of your dreams. It’s the perfect blend of wine and sweetness, ideal for hot days, and only needs a few ingredients before you're ready to enjoy.
frozen margarita
Frozen margaritas might just be the best kind of margarita — at least on hot days! Grab your favorite tequila and your blender to whip up some restaurant-style icy margs at home.
frozen sangria
Frozen sangria is a simple recipe to put together that works for any occasion, from dinner parties to pool days. It’s made by blending red wine with fresh or frozen berries, liqueur, orange juice and ice to make a sangria slushy that's practically guaranteed to cool you off.
lemon daiquiri
Sweet and tart, this citrus and rum cocktail is like a fresh frozen lemonade. Made right in the blender. It is easy to make and oh-so-refreshing.
frozen moscow mule
Fans of the classic spicy cocktail will love sipping on this frozen version. It does take a little bit of prep — you'll need to freeze ginger beer into ice cube trays, then blend them up with lime juice and vodka (or any spirit that sounds good).
I hope that you find one of these recipes is the key to beating the heat.
Stay cool out there!
