Hey, Reader!
It’s Day 2 of our Cup of Cheer Countdown, and today’s sip is a cozy little number perfect for sweater-weather nights.
We’re taking a classic and giving it a warm, sweet, holiday spin.
day 2: maple manhattan
Tonight we’re stirring things up — literally — with a Maple Manhattan.
This riff leans on bourbon, sweet vermouth and real maple syrup for a velvety, winter-ready cocktail that feels right at home next to a crackling fire.
A dash of bitters ties everything together, making this the kind of drink you sip slowly and savor.

make it a mocktail
Each day, I’m sharing a booze-free twist to enjoy with non-drinking friends and family.
Alcohol-free option: Swap the alcohol for zero-proof whiskey and non-alcoholic sweet vermouth, then add a splash of maple syrup and a few dashes of bitters. Serve over ice and garnish with an orange twist for the full cozy effect.

No cocktail shaker required. A good stir is key here — chill the drink without over-diluting.
Cheers!
Susannah
P.S. Be sure you’re using pure maple syrup in your drinks. Sometimes products labeled maple syrup contain food coloring or corn syrup, so always check the label.
P.P.S. If you love a good bubbly moment, tomorrow’s cocktail is about to sleigh your holiday season.
